The term lockout-tagout stands for maintenance blocking systems and includes planned safety measures for switching off the energy supply to industrial machines and systems during maintenance and servicing work. These measures protect workers from dangers posed by running machines, stored energy or electrical current. Schärer+Kunz offers advice and implementation of lockout-tagout systems according to both European standards and local legal requirements in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Schärer+Kunz supports you all the way from planning to implementing a lockout-tagout system in your company. We take the steps to create guidelines and procedures for energy control at your systems. We support you in evaluating existing risk assessments or create them for you upon request. We will then work with you to determine all the required energy control points. We ensure that these energy control points are clearly marked. Now we equip your authorized employees or the respective machines with the correct and appropriate shut-off and warning devices. Finally, we train your employees for you, create awareness of safe working practices through Lockout-Tagout (LoTo) and accompany the entire introductory phase.
