STEIN link® – Rethinking Flexible Material Flow

STEIN link® is an intelligent, battery-powered shuttle system designed for flexible and efficient material flow in production and assembly environments. Workpiece carriers, boxes, or customized fixtures with payloads of up to 80 kg can be transported directly on the shuttle at speeds of up to 50 m/min.

A key advantage: STEIN link® operates without power rails along the track. Energy is supplied by replaceable batteries directly on the shuttle. An integrated battery management system continuously monitors the battery status. When required, the shuttle automatically moves to the battery changing station, where the battery can be replaced manually or automatically.

The central traffic control system coordinates the shuttles, track occupancy, and speeds. RFID tags define individual track sections, while proximity sensors enable controlled deceleration when obstacles are detected.

Thanks to its modular track design, STEIN link® can be flexibly adapted to different production layouts. Switches, curves, lifts, and other modules enable customized track configurations and future expansions. Space-saving installation on walls or ceilings is also possible.

For particularly demanding production environments, STEIN link® is classified for cleanrooms up to ISO Class 5. This makes the system particularly suitable for applications in medical technology, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and semiconductor manufacturing.
