Ordinary IP67 rated industrial connectors offer protection against ingress of dust and moisture for indoor applications, but in outdoor applications there are additional, tougher conditions ordinary industrial connectors cannot support. Outdoor connectors have to be \u2013 weatherproof \u2013 frost-proof \u2013 UV-resistant. And they have to be absolutely water-tight to withstand continuous rain and submersion in puddles or mud. These require an IP68 rating.The robust housing made of nickel-plated brass is tough yet easy to install \u2013 closing, sealing and locking with just one twist.<\/p>\n
